About me
Jennifer A. McPherson is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Philadelphia, PA that is licensed in the States of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida. She is also the Owner/Clinical Director of McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services; a hybrid BIPOC focused and LGBTQIA affirming mental health counseling group practice that provides mental health counseling, consulting services, coaching services, clinical supervision, and education. Jennifer received her BA in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA before pursuing her MS in Counseling & Clinical Health Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also possesses an Executive MBA in Healthcare from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. She is trained in and utilizes Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)as her choice modalities for treating race-based trauma in her clients. She is also a Certified Daring Way Facilitator an implements the work of Brene´ Brown to encourage authenticity and vulnerability and to destigmatize shame.
In addition to her role at McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services, Jennifer is also an Executive Coach & Consultant, Clinical Supervisor for BIPOC supervisees seeking licensure, Public Speaker, and two-time Amazon Bestselling Author. Most recently, Jennifer was accepted into Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses Program in an effort to support the growth of McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services to be a nationwide mental health counseling group practice in order in access to care for BIPOC & LGBTQIA communities, to support BIPOC & LGBTQIA therapists, increase mental health education, and decrease the stigma against mental health in marginalized communities.
