Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I have been married for 23 years and have 2 adult sons. I have been providing individual, marriage, and family counseling for 25 years in private practice, and other social service agencies. I have experience with a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger management issues, parenting, trauma experiences, and relationship conflicts. My approach to therapy is to be direct and honest with my clients. I will always incorporate what you think and how you feel into where we are going in therapy. Depending on what your treatment goals are, I use some different therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (CPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
My focus is to ensure you have a safe and protected place to share your experiences by building respect and honesty in all of our interactions. Therapy will move at your pace and distance to achieve your overall therapeutic goals.

Jennifer has been very helpful. She's insightful and supportive while still keeping me accountable for the things I need to address. If there was anything I'd change, it would be having a therapist in the same time zone as me but since I don't need to communicate at all hours of the day, the current situation isn't bad.
