About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in South Texas. I have experience providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for diverse populations including children and teens. I have helped clients build the skills necessary to cope with trauma and abuse, stress and anxiety, depression, family issues, gender identity, confidence, and self-esteem.

I approach the therapeutic relationship without judgment, with respect, and as a collaboration between the client and I. Most of my clinical experience has been working with children, teens, and young adults. I also have experience working with multicultural clients and clients from the LGBTQIA+ community. Every one deserves access to mental health care and my professional goal is to be an advocate for all communities, especially those that are often underrepresented or marginalized.

My experience as a therapist has come from working across various sites such as schools, community centers, and emergency shelters. My therapy style uses elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Informed Practices and Polyvagal Theory, and Mindfulness. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment and we can work toward achieving your goals through research-based practices. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
