Jeremy O'Conner, LCSW
About me
Jeremy is a licensed clinical social worker with over 22 years of experience in the field of social work. He currently serves as the Clinical Director at California Youth Services and has been a field instructor and clinical supervisor since 2013. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from California State University, Long Beach in 2005 after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Concordia University, Irvine. Jeremy finds it to be a privilege to work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, chronic medical conditions, compassion fatigue, and crisis intervention. Jeremy enjoys helping people who have experienced physical trauma, emotional abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder. His counseling style is driven by the belief we are called to care for and love those, who struggle and need help. Sometimes in life, we begin to lose our purpose and meaning, and the quality of our lives begins to suffer. Stress, anxiety, sadness, as well as a multitude of other feelings, can flood our minds and prevent us from living meaningful and productive lives. Our underlying beliefs, and core values, play a role in this. Jeremy’s primary treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, client-centered techniques as well as solution-focused therapy. Jeremy is active in his Christian faith and is a faithful believer in the great commission. Soli Deo Gloria

Let's just say I finally took the step to seeking out a little more help/guidance. I was matched with Jeremy from the start. What I appreciated the most from the beginning , he was honest with me about this journey. He made sure to remind me as we began sessions if for some reason I didn't feel like he was working out for me, to let him know and we could always arrange a different match if needed. Speed up to four months later, he's still the counselor I look forward to each week. He has not only been a constant reminder to help me remind myself of the work I'm doing, but he has been a good deal of what has helped me grow along the way. I was able to be open, honest and comfortable with every session. I truly appreciate you Jeremy!! Highly recommended to anyone seeking to go a little further on their journey of themselves or who may be looking for a counselor to help match what you may be considering. Thanks again!
