Dr. Jerry Morris, Psychologist
About me
I am licensed in Kansas and Missouri with 44 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & family conflicts. I work with my patients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
Due to other contract commitments and restrictions that require me to only see certain patients in another system that will last for the next 26 months I will not be able to accept patients from the following Missouri Counties through this system: Barton, Dade, Vernon, Cedar, Bates, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Henry, Cass, St. Clair. At admission to my service, I will require verification of identity and location of the patient through a driver's license or passport. See: www.drjerrymorris.com .
I am licensed, also, as a MFT, LPC, and an accredited addictions counselor and widely published. I am training and am willing to supervise and train psychologists, professional counselors, marital and family therapists, and substance abuse counselors needing accredited and qualified supervision during the provisional licensure and certification components of their career. Dr. Morris is an outstanding family therapist who truly excels in his field. I have had the pleasure of working with him and can say without hesitation that he is a gifted listener, skilled problem-solver, and compassionate guide.
One of the things that set Dr. Morris apart from other therapists I have worked with is his ability to think ahead and anticipate issues before they arise. He draws on his decades of experience in family therapy to identify potential problems and share them with me in a kind and empathetic way. This has allowed me to be more proactive in addressing challenges and has helped me to feel more in control of my life.
Another thing I appreciate about Dr. Morris is his ability to really listen. He creates a safe and non-judgmental space for me to share my thoughts and feelings, and he truly hears what I am saying. This has been invaluable in helping me to process difficult emotions and gain clarity around my goals and priorities.
Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Morris to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate family therapist. His expertise and kindness have made a real difference in my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him.
