About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas with ten years of experience working in a variety of settings. I have worked with clients that have a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, personality disorders, and veteran-specific challenges. I also helped many people who have experienced addiction, legal challenges, and LGBTQ-related concerns.

My counseling style is warm and person-centered. I understand that we are each shaped by our experiences through time and each acquire habits, beliefs, and values that carry us through the many tasks, roles and relationships of our lives. It is often when we encounter loss, trauma, or conflict that we can gain new perspectives about what is working well in our lives, what we'd like to change, and how we can deepen our awareness, about ourselves, others and the world we live in.

Therapy can be creative and meaning-affirming work. I support and challenge clients to develop insight, healthy coping skills, and to implement change where they feel it is most needed. Desired changes tend to evolve from a therapeutic relationship founded in mutual trust, respect, and compassion. My counseling style is steeped in acceptance and commitment therapy, existential therapy, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and problem solving therapy. However, I also tailor my style of therapy to each person’s interests and goals so I can deliver therapy that honors the uniqueness of each individual.

I am passionate about helping clients live their best lives and develop a sense of inner peace that allows them to move through life with ease and confidence. If you are ready to take the first steps toward change, I am here and look forward to working with you!

This is my first time trying therapy and I was matched up with Jill. She's very good at understanding a lot of situations or problems that I have been through. What I like about Jill is that she helps breakdown complex thoughts or mixed emotions that I might have and has helped me understand those complex emotions. I am very thankful for that.

Jill is very personable and comforting. She creates a space for free flowing conversation and challenges me to be more autonomous. Highly recommend.

An ahead-of-time soul with a strong mind. Jill understands the process of peeling the layers and remembers everything you talk about, she genuinely cares and you will see that.

I've been with Jill for over a year and began my journey with her during a time of grief, and later a deeper dive into my life and who I am/ was. As the months went by, I slowly but surely began to regain a new sense of self, with a new outlook on life, a better grasp on my emotions and new coping skills, all which are thanks to Jill and her compassionate yet firm approach in her work. I leave feeling with a sense of identity, hope, inner strength, and confidence that I didn't know was possible when we first began together. Thank you so much for everything !
