About me

Hi. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in WI, and have been a therapist since 2007, when I earned my Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Mount Mary University. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief and loss, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, work/life balance, women's issues, and life changes. I've also helped many people who have experienced trauma or abuse.

My counseling style is warm, genuine and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My person-centered approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness and solution focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to look into counseling, congrats on taking a huge step toward a more fulfilling and happy life. If you are ready, I'm here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Jo Ann is great! This has been my first experience with therapy and it has been a positive one. She's very kind, she responds quickly especially if you mark your message urgent. She's thoughtful and gives me a sense of calm when I'm feeling alot of stress and unease. I appreciate her being my therapist and plan to continue to seek her guidance on an ongoing basis!

Jo Ann has been my therapist for a couple of years now and she's changed my life for the better. Her therapy approach is very empathetic, professional and she demonstrates her expertise every time by providing me with the right tool I need in order to not just cope, but overcome the issues I'm encountering.
