Joan Ledford, LPC
About me
My background includes working with children and adults of all ages. I have experience helping clients living with a variety of symptoms and concerns. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek help in identifying needs and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support you in that journey. My treatment approach begins with a person-centered or client-centered approach. From there, we may focus on talk therapy, use of motivational interviewing, counseling techniques, and learning new coping skills. BetterHelp supplies us with excellent worksheets and journaling activities. Please let me know if you would like a particular worksheet or activity.
My skills include familiarity with Biblical counseling, Christian counseling methods, and I am happy to collaborate with clients who request these skills as part of our time together.
