Jocelyn Schiffhouer, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Northwestern Pennsylvania and have been providing therapy in various capacities for over twenty years. I've worked with many different populations, ages, and in various settings to provide therapy to those in need. I've spent a great deal of time honing my skills to best assist those with struggles regarding relationship issues, parenting problems, communication issues, and trauma-related concerns. However, my scope has often included working with individuals who present with depression, anxiety, marital conflict, family conflict, mood disorders, and many others. A great deal of my experience has been centered around children/adolescents, family systems work, and trauma-narrative therapy.
My counseling style is best described as open, warm, accepting, and curious. I'm creative in my treatment planning and provide a unique perspective on concerns presented to me during sessions or other correspondence. I employ an empathic and supportive approach to issues, an do so in a direct manner to best help clients truly work toward enacting change in their own lives. I will gladly tailor any discussions and/ or treatment planning to each client's individual needs!
Asking for support in our lives can often be a difficult choice, and that's why I believe it takes courage for individuals to reach out, share their stories, and bravely work on identified goals. I very much look forward to the work we will do together!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jocelyn Schiffhouer. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I really appreciate Jocelyn’s attention to what my needs are rather than trying to follow some sort of generalized treatment plan. She takes the time to understand what I’m going through and what I want to work on without her own agenda. I don’t think I could’ve been paired with anyone better to help me get through some of my struggles. She has been sure to make me comfortable since our very first conversation and has never made me feel like I’m bothering her or taking up her time. She’s very respectful of every topic I’ve thrown her way while still offering useful tools to help guide me through. She’s been extremely responsive every time I’ve sent her messages no matter time or day I send them. Thank you so much!

I am so grateful for Jocelyn. She is so great at what she does and I felt comfortable with her from the start. She's so easy to speak to and to be yourself with. I would recommend her completely. She is professional and at the same time authentically herself. I look forward to every session I have with her because no matter how I feel when I first start talking, by the time our session ends, I feel positive and supported.

Jocelyn is down to earth and relatable. She really takes the time to help you by keeping up with communication in between meetings. I do not feel judged by her despite the things we talk about, and I find that I walk away with something useful every time we talk. Jocelyn is upbeat and friendly, and I am so glad that I found her.
