John Frasik, LMSW
About me
I am a master level social worker in Michigan with over 30 years of experience working as a private therapist for adults and adolescents. I have also worked in the state circuit court system for over 25 years in the Family and Juvenile divisions. I have operated my own practice for over ten years. I have worked with a variety of clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting issues, intimacy and relationship issues.
My style is positive, warm and calming. I believe in working together to generate understanding and solutions to stressors. I believe everyone needs a confidential, safe environment free of preconceived ideas, labels and judgement. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic and Rational Emotive as well as cognitive talk therapies. Together we will tailor a treatment plan as a path forward.
What you are doing in reaching out takes a great deal of courage. Change can be frightening but can also uncover new perspectives and possibilities. Ultimately change gives us strength and resilience.
I look forward to working together with you.

He is amazing and so helpful through all aspects of life. Grief relationships friendships family dynamics alcohol related issues you name it he’s been there for me! I wouldn’t be where I’m at in life without him and I’m so grateful for the support he’s provided and the person I’ve become thanks to his guidance

John was knowledgeable and provided insightful help. He asked good questions and made me consider things in a different way-exactly what I was looking for. He was straight forward and brought real-life experience to the topics we discussed. I am thankful for our sessions together.
