Jonathan Hack, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I have worked in the Social Work field in a variety of roles for the past 10 years. I have worked with people experiencing a wide variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, as well as substance abuse and trauma. I also have worked with families to increase communication skills. Finally, I also have experience with practical concerns such as finding placement for those needing a higher level of care or referrals to community resources.
I believe the therapeutic relationship to be highly collaborative. I generally utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing as my modalities, although I also believe it to be important to tailor techniques to the individual. I use these because they focus on the collaboration mentioned above. Without the active participation of all involved, I believe therapy loses its effectiveness. More important, the direction is determined by the client.
The role the the therapist is to assist people with life's challenges. It takes a great amount of courage to ask for assistance. This is a responsibility I don't take lightly. Everyone needs assistance from time to time. I hope I can assist and I look forward to working with you. Thank you for your time.
