About me

Hello, my name is Jono. I am an individual and family psychotherapist.

Thank you for your courage and trust in coming and allow me to understand what you have been going through and your present concerns.

For all of us, life can sometimes be difficult when we are faced with all sorts of challenges. When things don't go well, it is natural and normal for us to feel stressed, defeated, discouraged and disturbed. The feelings of depression, anxiety, loss, desperation and helplessness can make us feel isolated and hopeless. Often our problems appear to be never-ending and we lose sight of who we are and the strengths that are within us. Having recovered from depression myself and being a psychotherapist, I understand what it means to feel exhausted and overwhelmed by these conditions. It has always been my passion and desire to walk with folks who are going through a difficult time and be a partner in your life journey. If part of the human experience is about going through this valley, no one should be walking alone.

Having graduated from University of Washington with Master of Social Work, I have over 10 years of experience working with children, couples, adults and families from all walks of life. I have partnered with many clients with a wide range of concerns including chronic depression, severe anxiety, panic attacks, relationship issues, substance abuse issues, various addictions, family problems, adjustment stress, personality disorders, OCD and ADHD.

My specialty utilizes a whole-person strength-based approach where your dignity, empowerment and comfort are my top priorities. When we meet, I will dedicate all of my attention and presence to be with you and listen to your words and accept all of your feelings. I will be your partner in this journey and tailor our dialog to meet your unique and specific needs. I will provide effective tools to help eliminate symptoms and maximize healing. Together we will re-discover our strengths to solve problems, find support, be empowered and take back what was lost during these times: Comfort, Confidence, Imagination and Hope.

Some of the therapy modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Understanding and changing relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviors), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (Learning to make room for uncomfortable feelings and defuse thoughts, while commit to actions and values that are important to you), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy (Developing awareness on potential issues that are consciously unknown), Solution Focused Therapy, and Crisis Intervention.

Thank you again for taking your time to read these words and sharing your courage with me by letting me work with you.

May you be happy.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be peaceful and at ease.

Sincerely,
Jono

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jono Lee. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I worked with Jono a few years ago, and when things kind of started piling up on me I reached out to him again. He has an ability to say the things I need to hear and do to get my mental health back on track. I cannot imagine working with another therapist. I look forward to his communications with me.

Jono is thoughtful, attentive, encouraging, and asks me the right questions to help me better understand and care for myself.

Working with Jono Lee always helps me to identify what my actual concerns are and not the surface level concerns that I am so used to showcasing. Jono always does so in a way that is kind, wise and non-invasive. He has a gift of writing and helps to always feel like you are not alone in what is being faced and that there are other people who have been through. He offers practical applications and exercises and always makes me feel like it is a learning journey together. Showing a genuine interest in what I am learning and what I am connecting.

This is my second time working with Jono after taking a few months off to work on myself. I look forward to working with him again as he helped me through some very rough times before!

There's a reason there's that scene in the Karate Kid where Master Lee says "Wax on, Wax Off". Psychotherapy is mindful karate, and its technique is repetitive in nature. Master Jono Lee is wonderful at his job.

Working with Jono I found him to be insightful, informative, compassionate and caring to the issue's I have been facing.
