Jordan King, LMHC
About me
Hello! My name is Jordan King. I have my Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Florida. It is very courageous for clients to take the necessary steps to better their health, especially their mental health. I am committed to working with clients to reach their goals, experience healing, and learn coping skills so that they can be the best versions of themselves. I have completed further training to be a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) as well as currently completing training hours in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I have been working in this field for 7 years and have experience working with marriages, families, adults, adolescents, and children. I specifically work with kids, male adolescents, college age men, adult men, families and couples.
I believe that our thoughts will eventually determine our behaviors. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory among other theories to help my clients succeed in their initial reasoning for wanting therapy. As your therapist we will work together and figure out what works best for you.

I have been seeing Jordan for a few months now. Working with him has really helped me work on a few challenges I have been facing. Jordan is great at meeting you where you are at, listening, understanding, providing tools, and establishing/ help achieve goals. I look forward to our meetings, it is like catching up with a friend who has the skills and tools to help improve your quality of life!

Better help is the best therapy I've ever been to. The only downside is they don't take my insurance. It's still super worth it.

Jordan’s been extremely supportive with my efforts to balance my work life and personal life. He’s a calm, professional therapist, whose demeanor makes it easy to trust him and just unload and decompress. His advice is reasonable and he knows how to show that he’s really listening to me and has my best interests at heart.
