Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Joseph Miller. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

To those concerned,
I am writing to express my appreciation for Joe Miller as both a great counselor and top notch human being. I have seen counselors on and off for over 40 years. It is hard to compare as each generally met my need at the time. I can say that Joe is very present every time we talk and really listens to me and responds in thoughtful ways that first reflect that he sees and hears me, and even more importantly, he takes the risk to share insights based on what he gets from me and using his life experience, gives options for me to try and/or reflect on. It is a happy coincidence that we both have a lot of interest in and background in History, particularly military history. We have had many enjoyable conversations about many topics of mutual interest. This allows me to be more comfortable and share more which gives Joe further insights
Joe also contacts me 2-3 times a week to check in and see how I am doing. It often reflects a goal we have identified or encouragement if I am having a hard time.
So, in all, I am fortunate to have Joe as a counselor. I am growing in ways I had given up on and though not technically friends, I feel I have a companion on the windy road of life. Thank you, Joe

Joe is what I personally needed in a therapist. Already knowing my mental/emotional concerns going into BetterHelp, Joe focused on thoughts that I wanted to share and contributed points that lead to increased mindfulness and life satisfaction. From that, I created actions to construct clear boundaries at work and communicate more openly with my family.

He has a refreshing approach which I appreciate.

He really listens and focuses on the here and now and how we can progress forward rather than overanalyzing the past. Having said that he does allow me to explore past experiences/trauma as I want to but we don't focus on that and he is really respectful in the way he recognizes we all have a past but focuses more on how to go forward.

I really enjoy speaking to him and find his advise very insightful. He is goal oriented and focused on small changes that can make a big impact. Overall I really appreciate his style of counselling and look forward to continuing therapy with him.
