We all have the potential to create a meaningful life in the face of both joyful and painful circumstances. It is my hope that our time together will allow you to more fully embrace a sense of wonder about the possibilities for your own life as you discover new paths towards wholeness.
In supporting individuals as they navigate life’s successes and challenges, I have come to realize the importance of authentic relationships. To this end, I seek to offer a safe and compassionate space in which your story can unfold. It is within this context that I believe you will be able to gain new insights as well as reconnect with aspects of yourself that may have been forgotten or become blocked.
I have been practicing different forms of mindfulness over the past eighteen years and always welcome the opportunity to share these practices with others. I have found that integrating mindfulness-based skills with existential, transpersonal, and somatic/body-centered approaches can be very healing and transformative.
Since 2002, I have had the opportunity to provide counseling to adolescents in a wilderness therapy program, incarcerated individuals in a drug and alcohol program, homeless Veterans in a transitional housing program, and Veterans and military families in a community mental health setting. I have been seeing individuals in my private practice since 2015.
Please be aware that I am licensed in the state of Colorado, so if I’m working with an individual internationally, I may be providing services as a consultant or coach due to my license requirement or requirements of other localities. This may mean that I will be limited in my ability to assess, diagnose, and treat specific disorders.
Outside my practice, I enjoy running, biking, writing, and meditation. I also love traveling and just returned from living as an expat in Berlin, Germany for the past 1.5 years.

Counselor Josh is truly excellent. We immediately gained rapport and trust to begin our work quickly.
Counselor Josh helped me to realize and observe deeply fundamental aspects of my behavioral & cognitive patterns, where they come from, how to cope with them, and learning & practicing healthy self-care, enabling me continue my journey from a more authentic, grounded, and healthy place.
I will always appreciate all the time, care, intelligence, insightfulness, and compassion that Counselor Josh brought to our time together.
Take good care.

I just started to use BetterHelp a few weeks ago. I think it was the perfect time when I found that advert as my life is changing in a lot of ways these days.
I was matched with Josh quite quickly and I saw a profile about a person who takes his job seriously as he has been learning to get better and better for years.
Josh already helped me in a lot of ways and I know that he will teach me a lot more. I was also grateful that he wanted to find a personalized way for our work together, he was completely open in this. On top of these what is the best feeling is that although I know he has other patients and obviously a personal life as well, still it makes me feel really safe that if something unexpected would happen I know that he would try to get back to me as soon as he can. I can count on my loved ones too but if you can count on a professional as well that's a new level of feeling protected.
I could not wish for a better counselor. The only thing which I have realized recently is that during the Groupinars I loved personal life examples from the speaker's life or about her friend's life so it would be great to hear these from Josh too. I already asked him at one topic and he immediately told me some examples, so again, I can only say the best things about him.

He guided me through my struggles and made me able to understand there is a way through it, providing very helpful tools. Thanks so much!

Josh is an amazing human! Working with him has really helped me focus on self love and appreciate the small steps I make on my journey of recovery from stress. He is so insightful, and a good listener. I would definitely be recommending him and if this app had a star rating for therapists, then Josh would definitely be getting a 5 from me.

When signing up at BetterHelp I was looking to receive counseling for my anxiety, which was creating a lot of stress for myself. I was paired with Josh Flowers who immediately was very accommodating to my schedule and requests for video appointments. Along with being a great listener, he also invited me to ask myself questions, and to try to come to my own conclusions. He also provided me with a few mindful exercises to practice lowering my anxiety and self-esteem issues, all of which were helpful. As I mentioned to Josh, Im currently at a point where I feel more confident and like I don't need these sessions. But I enjoyed BetterHelp and if I were to come back I would definitely request Josh again.

Josh worked with me for about 3 months. He is an excellent listener and a competent therapist. I felt comfortable and safe talking to him about my problems. He is also very attentive and knowledgeable, he provided feedback and resource to help me get better according to my needs. I would say each session was very engaging and I've learned something new about myself after each session. I feel happier and have less anxiety after the counseling.

My name is Lauren Radakovich and I've been working with Josh Flowers for a little over a month now. I'm not sure if I could have been matched with a better counselor. Josh has proved insightful and attentive and has responded to all of my messages and requests in an extremely professional and timely manner. Josh's attention to detail and holistic perspective have provided me with a lot of comfort and insight. His mindfulness-based approach has helped me come back to a grounded foundation at times of experiencing anxiety. I'm grateful to have been matched with such an excellent and fitting counselor.
