About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Virginia with over 10 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I have a passion for working with individuals to achieve the highest quality of life possible through use of problem-solving and healthy coping. My areas of specialty include substance use treatment, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, grief and loss, and crisis management.
My approach to counseling incorporates elements of solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
In counseling, I endeavor to provide a safe space for individuals to share concerns and struggles they are experiencing, while exploring strategies with them for improved wellness.
