Joshua Elledge, LPC
About me
Hello! My name is Joshua and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and retired United States Marine with experience working with persons facing various challenging circumstances such as anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship issues, trauma, and severe and persistent mental illness to name only a few. A person's decision to seek therapy is an act of courage that I both respect and do not take lightly!
My style of therapy is client-centered, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I view the client as the expert in their own life and maintain a firm belief that all persons, regardless of the challenges and circumstances they may be facing, are capable of lasting and meaningful change! My therapeutic approach encompasses cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy(ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and internal family systems (IFS).
It undoubtedly takes much courage to seek therapeutic support during life's most challenging moments, but it is in these moments and when those challenges are faced, that the change you seek can be realized!
I look forward to working with you!

Joshua has been the most helpful therapist in every way because he genuinely expresses an interest in what is happening with me as a person. He truly listens and asks questions that evoke thoughtful responses. I am sincerely grateful that I was matched to this particular therapist and feel that I have been helped tremendously- in only a few months! The online counseling platform has been convenient because I live in a very rural area. I wish I knew how better to express in words how thankful I am for Joshua, and for all that he has helped me with. Thank you Better Help for making it possible for me to get some help!

I’m really happy to talk to Joshua. Seems like I can go anywhere and talk about anything and he’s a good listener. But also he asks good questions and makes me think.

Joshua is a wonderful counselor. I was genuinely heard & he made sure I knew I was supported in every issue & hard decision I was facing. His calm, reassuring demeanor was very helpful & appreciated as I felt consumed by everything life was throwing at me. He was also very responsive and was a safe place for me to be completely honest in how I was doing. I communicated a couple things that are really important to me to have in therapy and he was completely open & accommodating to them. I highly recommend Joshua!
