Judson Haynes, LMHC
About me
Hello, my name is Judson Haynes and I look forward to working with you. I practice in Washington State and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
I began counseling in 2008 and have worked in a variety of settings that include private practice, treatment centers for addiction and co-occurring disorders, and at a community mental health center as a crisis counselor.
I have experience working with clients of all ages, sexual orientations, and genders on many issues. I have also worked extensively with families and loved ones who are trying to navigate through the addiction of a loved one. My primary areas of expertise are anxiety and depressive disorders, addiction, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I believe in and practice an empathic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach when counseling. I rely on a variety of evidence-based practices that best meet the need of the individual. This includes but not limited to motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy.
My main goal in therapy is to provide a non-judgmental and accepting setting where you are heard and understood. If you have any questions regarding my approach or whether I am a good match, please do not hesitate to ask.
With regard to online therapy, it is important to me that I respond as quickly as able to clients. At this time, I am only able to offer asynchronous messaging with clients; however, I am occasionally able to schedule live chat, phone, or video calls.
Availability: I will respond to messages throughout the day, at least once per day, Monday through Friday.
Thank you.

Judson and I have worked together for years, he has guided me through incredible grief, stress, and pain and helped me get back to where I can thrive, not just survive. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Judson is very friendly, and he can help you get out of your problems if you listen to him. Very intelligent and knows what he is doing. He is easy to talk to and listens very well. I am for sure having a much better life after talking to him for few weeks.

I have been working with Judson for a few weeks now and our sessions and messaging have been EXTREMELY helpful at reducing my anxiety. I have been dealing with some high stress issues both at work and at home. Initially I sought help because I was experiencing reoccurring triggers of relapse, but I have been able to work through to the deeper issues and start to untangle the stresses in order to manage daily life. I HIGHLY recommend Judson!

I'm very thankful for Judson. I have been working with him for a short time but he has helped me develop tools to start to deal with the anxiety and depression that I've been going through for a long time. He's been very respectful of me and my background and the problems that I have. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to a close friend or family member.

I'm glad I decided to do this. Judson helped me understand how my mind worked better and helped me break through some bad loops I was stuck in. 10/10 recommend him if you're looking for improvement in your life.
