Welcome to my page! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Michigan, California, Florida and Washington with a decade of experience assisting others to relieve distress and promote and restore positive relationships. Julia is an excellent therapist who has taught and supported me so much. I have a hard time being vulnerable and connecting with people but I love talking to Julia! I'm a late-in-life self-diagnosed autistic woman who loves playing video games. Despite having very different hobbies and experiences than me, Julia has always been warm, open, and interested. She pays attention to what you need and has amazing empathy and patience.

I’ve had a couple therapists but she’s the best fit for me.
It’s hard to put into words I guess. I wanted someone who’d listen and push back. Someone to talk to and offer differing perspectives. She does and it’s been great.
She’s helped me with growth in expressing vulnerability and I guess what would be considered living in the moment; expressing and feeling without relying on coping mechanisms like numbing or humor that cause a delayed or retrospective experience of events.
She’s helped me with minimizing harsh personal judgement and unrealistic expectations of self. Her guidance has helped in finding an internal peace and contentment.
I don’t know these are just some ways she’s helped me. I’m sure she could help you too.

Julia has been a thoughtful and consistent source of support throughout my time working with her. She is professional, articulate, insightful and caring. She once relayed to me that going to therapy is like holding up a mirror to yourself, and the therapist can tell you what they see. Julia has been very insightful and key to helping me process both lingering trauma and a more recent struggle that I am still working through with help.
