Sometimes you just need someone to listen and vent to without judgement. Her method of helping me infuse my coping skills with my own spiritual, moral compass to resolve my environmental and internal issues is a game changer on days I struggle to find those answers on my own. I average video chatting with her once a week but catch myself reflecting on her words and guidance toward possible solutions throughout the week. Sometimes even if you are independent and intelligent you need another educated unbiased viewpoint to keep your emotional balance within range. Don’t worry…..
she also is prepared for those video chats that are off kilter to your norm. She understands we all have our breaking points and she may be placed right in the middle of the meltdown.
Let go and let her be witness to it versus an unexpecting friend or family member that can offer comfort but rarely has the expertise to get you back to your base point without getting emotionally involved and inserting their personal bias. Julia was great. It was almost like having my mom still with me. She genuinely cared about what I was going through, and offered advice in a gentle way. Just as a parent would do. It's nice to know there are still good people out there.
