Julianne is amazing. She is patient and open to understand the perspective I am taking in various areas. She has a warm and calm demeanor that invites to honest, non-judgemental introspection. I felt safe, heard, umderstood and respected. She is open about her experiences and knowledge, while being positive about finding solutions to any situation, and also delicate in sensitive areas. I like in particular that she explains how various mechanism and defenses work and that she always makes sure what is said is congruent whit the experience. I am grateful for having her support in recovering from early childhood trauma, The safe space she created together with her sharp insight allowed me to reflect on and process situations otherwise difficult or impossible to tackle on my own. I would recommend Julianne whole-heartedly.

I heard of people switching therapists to find the one that works well with them but I was so lucky to have Julianne from the beginning and it worked out. She was always so understanding and she listened to me fully. In the first 5 minutes of my first session, I started crying and I didn't even know why - probably just built up emotion and thoughts but Julianne was gentle and attentive. She guided me through so much in the 45 minutes that we had and my mind was blown at how much she was able to unpack with me. In this time, she has helped me learn how to articulate my feelings and realize that they are valid. I've learned how to communicate my feelings and set boundaries. I've learned to respect myself and who I am and my needs. Through the validation of feelings, I've gained confidence and self love. I went into this thinking my issue was an eating disorder but Julianne was able to show me where that was stemming from that it wasn't what I thought it was. I am forever grateful for my therapist and Better Help and this journey of healing.
