About me

You deserve to live a fulfilled life with meaning and joy! I am excited to support you in promoting your mental health and well-being with our therapy sessions. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California with 5 years of experience in providing therapy to couples, families, and individuals. I have specialized training, experience, and interest in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, phase of life issues for transitional age youth, and eating disorders. I have a background in working in community outpatient mental health, residential care, transitional living facilities, and private practice settings.

I believe in a holistic approach to mental well-being and taking context, physical, and spiritual components into account in counseling. As a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, my therapeutic style draws predominantly from CBT, which has been supported by research to be helpful for many mental health concerns. CBT also provides a clear path to helping you feel better, more often. I am also certified in using Interpersonal Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Of course, I am open to incorporating more therapeutic techniques that are important to you as well!

I would be honored to be a part of your journey and to support you in your needs. Reach out to me today!

Julie accepted me for who I am and we have been working on ways to increase my quality of life. She’s open minded and always has great resources for me. She even gives me helpful advice or encouragement I’m between sessions. I’ve been in therapy for 11 years and I trust her.

Julie is the best therapist I’ve ever had. Her genuine empathy makes connecting so easy. I never feel nervous to tell her what’s going on even when it’s a tough conversation. She always has constructive responses and new ideas to try. She goes above and beyond during and between sessions and is easy to schedule with. Thank you Julie for the difference you make! I always look forward to our sessions.

Julie is so caring and always makes me feel like I can tell her anything without judgement. She checks up on me when I haven’t scheduled a session in a while and it feels nice to have someone care like that!

Julie is great with her expertise; she takes time to listen and understand my situation, along with providing worksheets and exercises to help with my current issues.

Julie is an excellent therapist. She is very thorough, and reads everything you write in detail. She doesn't miss a thing, and is very interested in you as an overall person. She gives you worksheets, and assesses your well being as you are going through your problems. Overall, one of the best people I have met in my life.
