Juliette Hayden, BACP
About me
I am a qualified and insured UK based Integrative Therapist and have 15 years of professional work experience. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Reg. No 393383).
I qualified as a nurse in 1993 and have worked in the NHS in various roles ever since, before I became a registered counsellor. I hold a BSc(Hons) Degree in Therapeutic Counselling.
As well as working at Better Help I volunteer for a UK charity supporting victims of sexual trauma and domestic abuse. In addition, I also volunteer at my local Hospice in Salisbury, UK, supporting clients with a terminal diagnosis, and their loved ones.
I have 4 children, 2 of whom are autistic and so I understand the joys, as well as the challenges of autism. I have a special interest in supporting carers of autistic children.
I suffered with chronic pain for a number of years, and during this time I became very interested in the brain-body connection, and how we can use our bodies to send messages of calm to the brain. I understand the difficulties chronic pain and chronic illness can cause in everyday life, and the strain it can put on relationships. There is hope to be found in various coping strategies. As such, I also have a special interest in supporting clients who are struggling with chronic illness and pain.
In addition to helping clients with trauma and abuse, and bereavement and loss, I also have experience supporting clients with the challenges of anxiety and depression, stress and loneliness, motivation issues, self-esteem, and confidence. In addition, supporting clients with chronic illness and/or chronic pain, relationship breakdown, and supporting carers of autistic children.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey, and will walk alongside you, providing a safe and empathic space.
As an Integrative Therapist I can offer a range of counselling approaches to suit you. Everyone has their own unique journey and story, and different approaches suit each of us for different reasons. As such, I can tailor these varying approaches to meet your needs.
The counselling journey that we embark on can help support you in bringing about the change you are seeking in your life. It can empower you to move forward with renewed awareness and understanding of yourself, as well as techniques to help support you, as you continue on life's journey.

Juliette is not only an amazing therapist that listens and understands. She is such a kind person. I was going through a very rough time and was at a low low point but Juliette helped me see positives even when I couldn't. I felt so at ease talking to her and never felt judged. She always praised our conversations and showed me all the lovely and positive things about our sessions and my week. It helped me to see happiness and light in a dark time. Juliette also has a way of pointing out things that I wouldn't have thought about and puts it into perspective of why I feel a certain way and offers guidance in a situation. Thank you Juliette for being an amazing therapist and wonderful person. It just a few weeks I'm finally smiling again and laughing.

Juliette sent me a warm, encouraging message when we were matched before my first session. It instantly made me feel my concerns had been considered and helped alleviate the nerves I had deciding to seek therapy. I feel lucky we clicked very quickly, I feel heard, she listens thoughtfully and offers advice and relevant support. I really look forward to our sessions.
