Greetings! I'm here to help you find the perfect match for counseling, as evidence shows this is the most important factor for long term success. My primary goals are to help you alleviate suffering and live meaningfully. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with several years of experience counseling in the mental health field since 2015. I graduated with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Sam Houston State University. I have counseled students in a university setting, treated patients in a psychiatric hospital, worked with patients with severe substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health issues, taught at the university level and supervised other therapists, and counseled individually in private practice. I've done psychotherapy with many different kinds of issues, such as mild to severe depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, traumatic stress, substance abuse and other addictions, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, grief and loneliness/meaninglessness.
My approach to therapy ultimately begins with warm and non-judgmental support, no matter the problem. I seek to empower clients to make their own decisions and move towards valued-based living. I’ll be here for support, no matter what. Behind my approach is a cutting-edge technology in cognitive behavioral therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My desire is to find the underlying processes that might be contributing to your suffering and individualize treatment together, using evidence-based methods, while also making sure you feel truly heard.
Choosing the counselor that fits your needs and goals is crucial to your success in therapy. The counseling field has known for a long time now that the most reliable predictor of success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship itself. Make sure you feel good about your counselor—that you trust and respect them. Together we will create a unique space to talk about issues, learn to gain mental space from distressing thoughts, and build behaviors centered around your own values to invigorate your life with meaning and purpose.
You’re not alone. It’s time to get out of your mind and into your life.

I am really lucky to have Justin as my therapist. I write to him so much about my everyday life in solitude, and dating problems, family problems and traumas, and he goes through all the messages and really helps me even with the replies. And after every video session, I feel quite relieved and see progress and how I am slowly becoming a stronger and wiser human being, who doesn’t need to repress as much family pain anymore. Because there is someone who knows what he’s doing to help me deal with the problems we all have sometimes. And Justin helps me to motivate me to work towards my life goals. Personal, and career wise. After almost 5 years of swirling in nothingness, like a fly without a head, I finally feel like there is lots to achieve and with baby steps, will be achieved with less stress. Thank you, Justin!

It was evident only after one session how valuable Justin was for me. I was able to immediately get in better spirits, open up like i've never done so before, and feel a level of comfort that made counseling not feel so scary or overwhelming. Justin has a calming tone, presence and it helps put your mind at ease. I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone and everyone I know!

After having gone though a few therapists in person and on here on better help, I can say that Justin is the one that I've clicked with best & have had the most results with. I feel genuinely heard, and understood, not brushed off or only half heard. I tend to go on long tangents, but he reads it all and listens carefully, offering me valuable insights and strategic exercises which challenge me and help me grow. He is clearly very skilled and knowledgeable. Just as importantly, he is markedly sympathetic and attentive. With a sense of humor.
Also - it's awesome to have someone that can type at a quick pace that keeps up with mine when we do live chats!
