Justine Sher, LCSW, LICSW
About me
I am licensed in Georgia with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in crisis management, medical social work and generally helping others to feel more empowered to make some changes. I have extensive experience working with lgbtq+ community as well as working with those coping with grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I like to work with a causal informal attitude allowing the client to lead the session in the direction they want to go. There is no right or wrong way to engage in therapy.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I'm proud of you for taking the step and look forward to being by your side as you navigate through the process.

Justine is amazing. She is thoughtful, fair, and supportive. Her advice always makes me feel like she has my best interests at heart.

I have talked with several people across the years and no one felt truly compatible with what I was needing until I found Justine. She truly knows what she's doing, she's easy to talk to, always has tools available to help when I'm stuck, and is just overall very encouraging and a genuinely safe space for actual growth and improvement.

Justine is wonderful. She recognizes the importance and difference in how people cope with things and how to help them open up. I have never felt so safe with someone so quickly as I have while working with Justine. There are memories and moments I have disclosed to Justine that I needed help with, that I didn’t feel safe enough to share with anyone else. The comfort, and peaceful atmosphere she presents in her sessions is a wonderful break from anyone else I have ever worked with. I truly feel heard, valued, cared for, and understood when I speak with Justine. I am truly truly thankful to have her as part of my support group in life.

It'd hard for me to genuinely connect with new therapists because I've had to do the 'introduction' so many times. She heard my needs and provided the safe space I needed while offering sound judgement and advice. Would absolutely recommend her!
