My name is Kacey Ardoin, and I am a clinical social worker licensed in Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, and Utah. I have been practicing in the social work field for about 9 years. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Georgia, and then went on to pursue my Master of Social Work degree with a clinical concentration. I have worked with clients in multiple settings and have experience with both group and individual therapy. My work has been primarily focused on helping people overcome depression and anxiety, especially as it relates to improving their overall health (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). One of my greatest passions is suicide prevention, especially working with survivors of suicide loss. I have also worked in addiction and substance abuse recovery, and I greatly enjoyed seeing people reach the other side of their struggles. Other areas that I enjoy working with include relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and grief.
My counseling style is empathetic and person-centered. I believe everyone deserves to be heard and treated with mutual respect. I align with a person-centered, solution-focused therapy model, while also using cognitive-behavioral therapy and reality therapy techniques. I am also certified as a Problem Solving Treatment Practitioner and like to incorporate these principles into sessions when they may be helpful. I especially enjoy working with people who are ambivalent about making a change in their lives, and I enjoy utilizing motivational interviewing techniques when possible. If you are feeling stuck, there is a reason - and I would love to work through that with you!
Whether this is your first time in counseling or your hundredth time, I believe you have the power to break down whatever wall is standing in your way today. It takes strength to reach out for support, and for that, I want to congratulate you on your courage today!
Thank you for your time and I look forward to working together.

Kacey has been the best! She got me through the most difficult family situation I've ever experienced, helped me learn healthy coping strategies, and helped me change my approach to communication in a healthy way. I'm so much happier now than I was when I started therapy. Thank you, Kacey!

I don't even know where to start and/or what really to say. Kacey has been the only therapist (trust me, there's been many), whom after speaking with for the first time, that I felt could and would truly help me. She understood that the trauma is what it is and the part of discussing it was somewhat resolved but rather it was time to get crack'n on some healing action. She offered ways to move forward and heal. I am truly thankful to have found her. And, she's persistent in a kind and respectful way when I avoid bc I don't want to deal. She checks in, sends assignments. and is beyond supportive. I highly recommend Kacey; thanks so much Kacey and BetterHelp!

She listens to what I say. If she doesn’t understand what I’m trying to say she asks questions to get a further understanding of the situation.

I've only been in therapy for two weeks, and I had the bad fortune of having my own vacation and her vacation happen at just the right point in time that we haven't had a chance to meaningfully interact or do therapy until like... yesterday. This is not her fault in any way, I want to make that clear. In the meantime though, everything she's done has indicated that her compassion and competence as a therapist is not in question.

Kacey has been a wonderful therapist for me, in good times and in bad. She has challenged the way I view myself, encouraged personal growth, and consistently showed compassion during a really hard time. I have always felt validated, seen, and understood, without feeling like I had to work really hard to explain, and without being made to feel small or silly. I could not have asked for a better therapist, and I can't say enough about how much she has done for me!

Kacey is one of the most attentive and supportive therapists I've worked with. It is always a little hard trying to find a new therapist that is the best fit for you, and I was very lucky to work with Kacey. She not only pays attention but listens to the real issues, the ones that are often unsaid, left out, overlooked, or undiscovered. She has helped me coax my own answers out into the open and in turn, helped me grow.
