Karee Bohman, LICSW
About me
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with experience working with people struggling with their mental health. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, phobias, and a history of physical and emotional trauma. I also have provided support to those struggling with substance abuse.
I started providing support to individuals through BetterHelp at the beginning of the pandemic and have continued to do so over the past few years.
I have additional experience working in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, and residential settings. Through this, I have provided support to individuals with chronic medical diagnoses, brain injury, and dementia. Along with supporting these individuals, I have also provided support to family, friends, and caregivers for these individuals.
As a social worker, I believe in a person-centered approach and collaborating with my clients to meet their goals. I am very open-minded and want my clients to feel comfortable sharing their struggles, without fear of judgment.
It takes a lot of courage to seek support. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy with reaching our goals and need help. I am here to support you to achieve your goals and find a more meaningful life.
I look forward to working with you.

Karee has helped me understand my past and how that relates to my present- she is simultaneously encouraging and no-nonsense, and circles back to past sessions to help me connect my own dots. She's the best therapist I've ever had, hands down- so glad to have found her.

Karee is really amazing! She takes the time to understand what I’m saying and what’s going on in my life. Her feedback and questions help me look at things differently. The tools provided have been super helpful. Karee checks in about specific weekly events and goals via text, outside of our normal meetings. I know I’m able to contact her outside of our weekly meetings, which is a huge relief. I highly recommend working with Karee!

Thus far I’m very pleased with my experience. My counselor makes an effort to reach out to me numerous times a week & always offers valuable & concrete suggestions & exercises for me to work on. She has made herself available for live chats for the times I asked & is understanding, positive, & realistic. I’m glad I found her.
