Karen Morris, LCSW
About me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 37 years of experience, I've observed how childhood trauma can develop coping mechanisms that may become dysfunctional and evolve into such things as depression, anxiety, codependency, problematic work relationships, substance use, and even addictive patterns of behavior that serve to dull and impair one's ability to express their needs.
As you enter into therapy with me, I believe you will find someone who listens intently, paying attention to not only what you say but also to the underlying emotions and patterns of which you may not be aware .I I will respond with compassion, honesty and at times humor and odd ball references to music, books, sit-coms and movies ( I tend to lean toward fantasy and sci fi, just for the record).
I hope to help you find what you have been missing. You bring the flashlight, I will bring the map. I think it will be an awesome journey.

Karen's been extraordinarily helpful by asking the right questions, challenging my assumptions about myself and my relationships, and really reframing how I see myself and how I see the world. I am grateful for her assistance and have already started seeing some benefits.

Karen is a great therapist that not only listens but gives you great feedback and tools to help you with what you are going through. In just 3 sessions she has helped me more than any therapist I have had in the past. She is very knowledgeable and truly wants to help the best way she can. I would completely recommend Karen to anyone!!
