Kathryn Bishop, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. I have over 25 years of experience working with clients of all ages and helping them address a multitude of issues. I have worked with many people who have experienced a traumatic experience or have a long history of repeated trauma such as physical, verbal or sexual abuse. I have also assisted people who are going through changes in their lives and have worked with them in adjusting after job changes, relationship changes, and other difficult life events. I've also worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, parenting issues and other concerns.
I use an eclectic style of counseling including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Each client is a unique individual, and my counseling style varies from person to person. I believe in being non-judgmental and treating people with the respect and compassion everyone deserves.
I commend you for deciding to make changes in your life by addressing issues that are troubling to you. This takes courage and determination, which you are showing by taking this first step. I'm ready to get started when you are.
I look forward to working with you!

I absolutely adore Kathryn! She is so kind and patient with me! It's relieving to talk with someone who understands my pain and frustration with my long standing health issues, as well as with my complicated family issues. She is such a patient and soothing person who makes me feel unconditionally supported. I am grateful to have Kathryn in my life!

Kathryn, is a great listener. She always responds to my messages and journal entries quickly. It is nice to be able to contact my therapist as things in my life unfold that way we can talk about it during our sessions. Down to earth easy to talk to and very kind.

I really appreciate that she initiates contact as well as waiting for me to message her. She also as elevated stress by not pressuring me to reply within a time frame.
