Kathryn (Kathy) McCabe, LCSW
About me
These are troubling, lonely times. There are so many things to worry about...losing my job, how will I pay my rent? pay my mortgage? cover my car payment? Please contact me for help. I have been trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction, an evidence based method of reducing symptoms due to trauma or PTSD. I have in depth training in psychodynamic psychotherapy which helps get to the root of what may be causing symptoms of depression, anxiety and repeated relationship issues.
I would like to talk to you about what you are going through and feeling. There is nothing worse than feeling like no one else can understand you, so, therefore, you are alone. I hope to hear from you. You do not need to feel alone. Please contact me, I look forward to working with you.
I graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1996. It has repeatedly been rated the #1 best school in the country for the masters degree in social work.

Working with Kathy has been amazing! I switched between multiple therapists on this app before finding her, and it was finally the right match. I have been on therapy for many years and know that it is key to find the right therapist. I always feel understood and supported by Kathy. She knows how to out into words what I'm feeling and at times it seems like she understands me better than I understand myself. We have worked through a whole range of things, from day-to-day minutiae to deep trauma. Every time I feel better at the end of the session!
