Kathryn Wich, LMHC
About me
Welcome to BetterHelp, and thank you for checking out my profile! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 in Florida with experience in the mental health field since 2010. I got my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2011, and my Masters and Specialist Degrees in Mental Health Counseling from UF in 2014. I enjoy working with clients to treat a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma, PTSD, communication problems, LGBTQ issues, and more.
My therapy style is warm, empathetic, and empowering. I believe true growth and change can happen within a trusting therapeutic relationship. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, person-centered, and mindfulness therapies. Each session and treatment plan is individualized to your specific goals and needs.
My goals as a therapist are to help you feel heard and understood, to create a safe and trusting space, to help you figure out the best solutions to your unique situation, to recognize and strengthen your positive qualities, to heal from past traumas/pain/losses, and to connect with the best version of yourself. Counseling is not always easy, but the healing is worth it.
I hope to work with you soon!

Kathryn is an incredible therapist who has listened to my goals and my priorities since day one. I went through quite a few therapists on BetterHelp before I met her and I have now talked to her weekly for almost a year. She uses her experience and compassion to ensure she provides a safe, judgement free environment for me while also challenging my negative coping mechanisms. She also goes out of her way to provide availability when my schedule does not align with her open times on BetterHelp. I absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for a helpful, positive, therapeutic experience.

Such a kind and patient person to speak with! Kathryn is very understanding and very sympathetic with all of the things I struggle with, and helps with correcting patterns and getting me back on the right track! Definitely a therapist worth seeing.

Kathryn is incredibly sweet, kind and professional. I never feel judged, and she has an understanding demeanor, which makes it easier to work through already-challenging situations. I can't recommend Kathryn enough for anyone struggling with self-worth, boundaries, trauma, stress, etc. I look forward to our sessions every week!
