About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work, both from Utah State University. I have been practicing in community behavioral health for over four years and have recently become the program director over the behavioral health clinic I work at. The therapeutic theory I operate under the most is behaviorism. The philosophy that I use to govern my approach is rooted in the code of ethics that all social workers must adhere to. Through that philosophy, it is most important that all treatment includes empathy as its primary driving force. We are all just a few bad days away from experiencing mental illness and/or substance abuse. None are immune to stressors and pains of life, and everyone needs help sometimes.

I have experience providing evidence-based treatment to a wide range of populations and individuals with various presenting issues. I have treated children, adolescents, adults, people who are older, inmates, families, and couples. I have treated and diagnosed people who have suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bi-polar, BPD, anti-social personality disorder, PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, and everything else in between. I consider myself to be capable of working with any willing person in need.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kelland Brewer. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I am very thankful for his patience and ability to observe and provide an unconditional space that keeps up with my speed of going through life. He is currently helping me in facing my lifelong trauma of shame through EMDR. I thank him for his ability to develop, hold this emotional asylum during this process, for me it is profound, so thank you, Kelland Brewer.

Kelland is my 4th therapist (first from Betterhelp) and it was almost like he was made just for me. He has made me feel heard, understood and has been the first therapist that I feel completely comfortable with. I have told him things that no one else in the world knows (not even the old therapist, because I didn’t feel comfortable enough to share and feared judgment). I am so happy I made the decision to get on BetterHelp. Seriously a life saver, like literally.
