Hello! I’m Kelly, a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio with over nine years of experience in mental health therapy. I hold both a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Youngstown State University.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience across various therapeutic settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient care. I specialize in helping individuals navigate challenges such as eating disorders, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma.
As a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR therapy, I adopt a client-centered approach, believing that clients are the experts in their own lives and should guide the direction of their therapy. Kelly is super nice and understanding.
She doesn't make you feel as if you are a bother, she tries to fully understand where you are coming from in angles that others may not.
She also tries to come up with solutions in more ways than just 'Plan A"

Kelly is the best at putting people at ease and letting them set the tone for therapy. She gives you room to express yourself and share ideas and experiences, but holds you accountable when needed. Kelly centers sessions around your goals, values, and solution-based approach where you never feel condescended to or overlooked.

As soon as I was connected with Kelly Joyce, I knew I had made choice in choosing her as my counselor. I picked her based off her expertise matching what I was hoping to work on/through & as soon as we were connected she began asking questions to get to know me & made me feel heard. Although we have not been paired long, Kelly has already made me feel comfortable & has created a space where I feel safe & able to talk about hard topics. I was super anxious about talking to a counselor since I’ve had a few before and they sadly didn’t work out, but Kelly made me feel so comfortable right off the bat! I am so thankful I found Kelly! I first matched with a therapist that I didn't vibe with, but Kelly has been exactly what I need.
