Keyla Byrd, LCSW
About me
My name is Keyla Silva-Byrd and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW). I received my BA in Psychology from Montclair State University and my MSW from New York University. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 9 years & in the helping profession for approximately 12 years. I love working with & helping people in all aspects of my life!
Throughout my professional journey I have worked in a residential setting, in various counseling centers, I spent numerous years working with trauma, as well as school based health centers. I have specialized experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, relational & family conflict, abuse, as well as working with teens.
I believe that my experiences have shaped and provided me with a well-rounded skill set that has helped me in my therapeutic practice. I incorporate many modalities & interventions into my practice but tend to operate from a Systems perspective & utilize Structural Family Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Solution Focused interventions.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to hearing from you.
