Kimberley Long, BACP
About me
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) with 12 years of professional work experience. I have worked in the NHS in primary and secondary care settings, private practice and community projects and have a good understanding of health and social care needs and mental health issues.
I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, childhood abuse, & addiction. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. A person centred approach underpins the core of my practice, incorporating CBT techniques to empower my clients to manage and take control of their health and wellbeing.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I’ve only recently started therapy with Kimberley, but the experience has already been amazing. She creates a comfortable and safe space for open communication and her ability to truly listen and understand is incredible. She has a gift for reading between the lines and connecting the dots, offering insights that help me see things from a new perspective. I feel both excited and optimistic about this journey and I’m genuinely happy to have her as my therapist. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Since having therapy sessions with Kimberley my mental health scores for anxiety and depression have remained consistent and very manageable. She has always come off of our calls with what we've talked about and considered solutions on that call or found ways to tackle the issues after the calls and sent me guides on techniques to help. I think I've now got most of my life under control and it's just looking into ways to improve my situation now rather than just putting out fires.

Kimberley has led me back to myself lately. She’s really helped me lay some foundational work within myself and I’ve never felt better equipped to manage things in my life. I couldn’t have got through these last few months without her.
