Kimberly Andrejkovics, LCSW
About me
Hi, My name is Kim Andrejkovics and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with over ten years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I received my Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY in 2010 and have practiced in a clinical setting ever since. I have worked with individuals of all ages with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, self-esteem issues, ADHD/ADD, adjustment struggles, grief & loss, family issues, parenting struggles, as well as many other areas of difficulties. I have also specialized in working with children and adolescents, while also working with their parents/caregivers in a family counseling setting.
I have a warm, empathetic, and interactive counseling style. My counseling approach is client-centered, strength-based, and solution focused. I believe in meeting a client where they are and working alongside them to assist with identifying goals to focus on. I believe in treating everyone with understanding and respect and feel that everyone should have the opportunity to empower themselves to bring positive change into their life.
Coming to this site was a huge first step and you should be proud of yourself for taking the time and effort to do so for yourself. I will honor your time and commitment to the counseling process should you wish to move forward. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!

Kim has been very helpful in unpacking my thoughts and organizing them into actionable items. She is caring and thoughtful and asks meaningful questions. We are able to focus on whatever I need to and when I am busy and do not reach out she will contact me and just ask how things are going. I could not be happier with this process so far. I feel that better help's structure has allowed me to gain insights much faster than by a regular office situation, I don't have to wait until next week's hour which I am sure makes Kim's job harder because she is missing out on physical cues. I enjoy sending letters back and forth, it gives me time to process and lets me table things that are weighing on me until I have the time to properly think them out. Kim loves worksheets and has provided me with some helpful tools that I have implemented into daily life already. I am very grateful that Kim is available to listen and help me work out my thoughts. I am Learning a lot about myself and the people around me and I am more mindful and self aware! Thanks Kim
