Kimberly "Kim" Ivester, LPC
About me
Hello! I am a professional counselor in Georgia with 22 years of experience working as a therapist in the community and school settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, parenting problems, as well as college and career counseling. I've also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse process these feelings and feel more like themselves to live a happy and fulfilling life.
My counseling style is warm and engaging. I believe in treating anyone with respect and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and interpersonal counseling. We will work together to develop an understanding of how beliefs, thoughts, behavior, and emotions are interconnected. I will tailor our treatment plan to meet your unique goals and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support you during this journey!
I look forward to working with you!

Kim has been influential in helping me navigate one of the most challenging periods of my life. She is kind, caring, patient, and everything I was looking for in a therapist.

Kim has been a touchstone for me for over a year now. I feel so lucky to have her as my therapist and honestly at this point she feels like a friend I know I can trust. She offers a safe space for me to understand and process my emotions while also offering support and advice when I need it. If you’re considering therapy, Kim is a brilliant person to work with.

Kim is always patient with me (and I require a lot of patience lol). She comes to every session with a calm, non-judgmental aura and makes me feel safe to share anything.
