Kimberly Merolla-Brito, LICSW
About me
Greetings,
I'm Kim and I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, certified in Clinical Trauma Treatment, with a successful consulting partnership in Rhode Island.
I’m committed to the mental health and well-being of my clients and have been providing clinical services in various settings for the past 15 years. In my practice I assist clients coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and those seeking trauma resolution.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating all with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, client centered and rational-emotive counseling. These advanced methods promote healing and desired change in a unique, gentle, and respectful manner.
Clients tell me I am a mindful listener, easy to talk to and genuine in my approach to build a therapeutic relationship. I offer a flexible schedule with whatever mode of communication suits you best. I begin each new journey with clients starting where they are and always having them in the driver seat of change. We’ll set goals for therapy together, I’ll honor your time commitment and use our time efficiently and wisely.
It takes courage to recognize something needs to change and bravery to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you along the way.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kimberly Merolla-Brito. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I am so grateful that Kimberly came into my life. Having experienced the most traumatic events of my life earlier this year my self worth, self confidence and hope for the future were at rock bottom. Kimberly has been unfailingly encouraging and positive. She really understands my innermost concerns and things which are preventing me from healing. She has done so much to build up my self worth in just a couple of months. I have learned how to become better at establishing boundaries, I value myself and my abilities more (although I've still got some work to do in that area!) and, most importantly, she validates my feelings and thoughts. Having been minimised and lied to for a long time leading up to this year's traumatic events it is so healing to hear that I am allowed to feel the way I do, that it is a normal response.
I would recommend Kimberly in a heartbeat. I am excited to see how I grow and develop over the coming months with her!
