About me
**Currently only available during daytime hours **
I am a licensed counselor in Missouri with over 6 years of experience. I specialize in trauma, crisis, and substance use but have been fortunate to work with clients with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, bi-polar, relationship issues, eating disorders, abuse, domestic and sexual violence, behavior modification, ADHD/ADD and more.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines person centered, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing and solution focused counseling. I am also trained in EMDR and have been very fortunate to help many clients through this technique. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
My availability to respond to messages and sessions varies per day and I am fortunate enough to be able to be flexible with my client's schedules.
If you don't find a time that works for you, please let me know and we can work together to find a time that works. I encourage all of my clients to book a live session so you have my undivided attention whether it is a video, phone or chat session. As we all lead busy lives, I respond to messages as soon as I can and often between live sessions.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Shes honest, real and helps me work though my different thoughts and feelings. I know no matter what we discuss she will never judge me, only help me.

Thank you for listening, offering solutions, and helping me find and accept my truth.
The truth literally set me free. It felt so good talking through my concerns and fears. I appreciate the suggestions and real world advice surrounding career and life balance with work. I knew these things and yet also knew I was not ready to accept the reality. Instead, I just kept plowing along and yet all at the expense of my health and my family.
Kristi was very patient while I worked through the few years of emotional baggage I had to unload. I’m doing so, I was able to process and review and ultimately learn from the experience.
If you’re working through concerns, and need to speak with someone who will listen, and also encourage you: Kristi is really wonderful. She is very patient and very personable while also being very real with you when addressing your concerns. Thank you Kristi for helping me through my concerns with work life balance

Kristi has been an amazing tool for helping me navigate the challenges, that brought me to therapy. Even when I do a late journal entry or an entry that I think we will just touch on when we do our session she responds if she feels it’s something I may be feeling or needing. I recommend Better Help as often as I can.
It has been a great experience. I had tried in person therapy before and whether it was scheduling conflicts or therapists that I didn’t feel were helpful, it never worked. BetterHelp allows me to work at my pace and still holds me accountable for my sessions.
I am grateful for Kristi and for the app!

I always look forward to talking to Kristi. I feel much calmer and less anxious throughout the week knowing I can message her about anything anytime I want to. In a year, Kristi has taught me more about self compassion than I had previously known after decades.

Kristi has provided some much needed structure in my otherwise chaotic life. She's been really good at keeping me grounded during a time where everything seems to be constantly changing.

Kristi is the perfect balance of professional and relatable. She is encouraging and challenges me. Even when I enter a session with a heavy heart or confused mind, I leave the session feeling lighter and clearer. She is respectful always and I feel safe sharing myself with her. She provides great feedback and insight, but she does so in a way that allows me the opportunity for self discovery. I look forward to every session.
