Kuma Kennedy, LMFT
About me
Hello, my name is Kuma Kennedy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Oklahoma. I have been providing individual and couples therapy services to adults for over 15 years in a variety of settings. I have experience working in the fields of domestic violence and sexual assault, community mental health, and with Veterans. I work with individuals and couples struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship/communication difficulty, grief and loss, life transitions, and feelings of overwhelm and low self-worth. Together we will practice identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to negative feelings, improve communication skills, process difficult experiences such as grief and loss and trauma, and improve feelings of low self-worth.
As an EMDR trained, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused Therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I look forward to working with you to help you heal, obtain insight for personal growth, and become the best version of you.

Kuma has been very responsive so far. We are still exploring what my issues are and what we can do to treat them. I am sure the two of us can work together to find me the help I need.
