Kylee Romero, LMHC
About me
Aloha! I have been practicing mental health counseling for 9 years. My experience has been vast, including working with forensic, adult & youth, and crisis clients. Much of my current counseling specialties are with depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, LGBTQ+ issues, and anxiety. I am passionate about working with queer individuals and provide gender affirming care. I take a client-centered/humanistic approach to counseling, understanding the bravery it takes to reach out for help. I am passionate about creating a safe place for you to share and be heard every session. I also value your feedback, so that I may consistently improve the quality of services I am providing you. I am also a current doctoral candidate, working on my PsyD. I am recently certified in EMDR, and am offering this to clients as well via video.
My goal is to be nonjudgmental, empathetic, and helpful to you during this stage in your life. I consider our work to be a partnership and would love to join you on this journey. Sessions are light hearted and informal. Come as you are!
Currently I am only taking text clients. My availability is during the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with evening hours on Mondays, HST. I check regular messages at least twice each day. Please understand that there are times where I have personal matters to attend to, which may mean you don't get an instant response.
I understand that trusting a provider is of utmost importance, and I would be honored if you enlisted my help during this difficult time in your life. Clients occasionally have difficulty finding a therapist who is a good fit for themselves, or have had a prior negative experience in therapy. I completely understand these experiences and aim to provide each client with a positive experience.

Ky is awesome. I was at the end of a relationship, dealing with so many lies I couldn’t tell what was real anymore. I was lost in a deep emotional jungle with my head spinning. Ky helped to create a space that felt safe to be understood.
I felt comfortable sharing anything and everything with her. She provided feedback to gain clarity in my situations and ways to go through them feeling safe and confident. My main goal in therapy was to feel grounded, secure, confident, and a foundational sense of peace. Kylee helped to achieve my goal and restore a sense of healthy living again.
There’s definitely still things for me to understand and improve on, but im in a much better place since I met Kylee. Her approach is laid back, understanding, and matches the pace of the conversation. Can’t emphasize enough how much she’s helped along the way. Providing the skills to apply in life to feel relief, healthy, and peace.
Thank you Ky, your awesome

Ky is excellent. Nothing is off limits to talk about, the most judgement free space - I feel so heard and affirmed. So thankful for Dr. Romero!

Very relatable and understandable. She doesn’t push too much and asks very good questions to get the conversation going.
