About me

Hello! My name is Larissa Rzemienski and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Counselor in the state of Arizona. I attended Arizona State University for my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1998 and Master of Counseling degree in 2001. I also have an M.B.A. in Marketing and Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership.

I have been working as a counselor for over 20 years, and I have had a wide array of experiences during this time. I have served as a suicide hotline supervisor, probation counselor, tele-health counselor (marriage, individual, and teen counseling), and high school guidance counselor. In addition to counseling, I also teach Master of Counseling college students and I am a yoga teacher. I have worked with clients of all ages, and my specialties include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, meaning of life, grief, and much more. I really enjoy working in the telehealth field, and I have been seeing clients virtually for about 4 years. Telehealth is a great modality for treatment as it provides convenience and various options for services. In terms of the treatment modalities that I utilize, I tend to use Client Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The approach that I use for each client will differ depending on the needs of the client. I am available via messenger, phone, or video.

In my personal life, I enjoy practicing and teaching yoga, learning about psychology and history, hiking, hanging out with my pet rabbit, investing, and spending time with my college age daughter. I reside in Phoenix, Arizona.

I look forward to talking with you!

Larissa Rzemienski, Ed.S., M.C., L.P.C.

She’s the best!

Larissa was the therapist that changes your perspective about therapy. I used to be skeptical then I decided to switch therapist and I met Larissa and she completely changed it. She’s so kind, you can feel that she listens and helps a lot! I have learned more with her in a few session than I did for 2 months with my old one. Highly recommend!

Larissa made me feel comfortable, I was able to talk with her like I’ve known her for a while. I highly recommend her.

Larissa always gives me space to express my concerns and thoughts. She never doubts my view points. And Larissa is always listening with no judgment.

Larissa is great! She responds to my posts in a timely and understanding manner. She appreciates the stressors of my life.

We have set up goals for our work together that she makes sure I am addressing, and I feel we have done a good job of making appropriate goals as so far, they seem to be topical to what I'm going through each week.

It is nice having a telehealth mental health professional living in my area which I wasn't expecting. Actually, I didn't realize that until our second session.

She hears what I say, understanding me and validates my feelings and what I'm experiencing which is very important to me as that has not always been my experience with previous therapists.

I highly recommend Larissa!!

I’ve seen a few therapists in the past, but Larissa is by far one of the easiest to talk to and the most pleasant to work with! She’s very polite, respectful, a great listener, and she responds rather quickly! I’ve worked with her twice now because she’s easy to open up to and gives great feedback. I would definitely recommend Larissa if you want to feel heard and accepted!
