These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Rev. Larry Payne. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I worked with Larry in the past and had a great experience. I have tried other counselor's but none of them were able to listen and encourage me to work through my stumbling blocks. Larry provided me with tools that have equipped me to help myself. I was thrilled to find Larry again because he the best counselor that I have had and good counselors are not easy to find.

I have recommended BetterHelp to others who have benefited as I have from the excellent services offered. I will continue to do so and can’t say enough about the ease in using and reliability of this app and as a mental health services provider.
My therapist, Larry Payne, has been terrific and I’ve benefited tremendously from his guidance and advice in my journey towards understanding who I am and why and how this affects my relationships. The tools and methods Larry has advised for self examination, discussions, and understanding relationships has been very effective.

Larry is just great. He does his homework before your session which I greatly appreciate. He seems to always come prepared. He listens, he truly cares about you, and works with you as a team.

I’ve worked with Dr. Larry for the past four years. I have never felt more heard, celebrated, and valued than I do with Dr. Larry. It was a safe place to air out frustrations, disclose years of shame or guilt, and question the things I believed! He helped me envision a better and healthier self through counseling! I’m forever grateful for working with Dr.Larry during the darkest and hardest years of my life! Thank you!

I’m so thankful to have found Mr. Payne. He works with you. Genuinely cares and won’t give you positive over rated quotes. He treats me and my situations like an individual. I have a hard time expressing myself and he organized my thoughts.

Larry Payne has been a huge help in getting me through a difficult time in my life. He is kind and really listens to you. I enjoy being able to message him because I have young kids and sometimes it is difficult to get my thoughts together when things are hectic. I can go back and re-read his advice which is a great help too.

Larry, you've already been an incredible help simply by validating my experiences as painful and adverse. I've had 5 different therapists in my lifetime and I will say, so far you've been the most helpful, on-target, quite possibly most validating, and so far least painful and most hopeful experience. Somehow, you've created a space where I haven't been breaking down crying every visit, your sessions are very forward-looking and not putting me in a position where I am re-living trauma or painful experiences like a few of my past therapists. Thank you.

I have been working with Larry for a few months now. I will say that I think it took few/several sessions for us to get to know each other. Since then, I think Larry understands the person within me. He listens and listens intently. He's offered great feedback and extra work for me to do to understand what further work I need to heal. I would definitely recommend him if their needs meet Larry's expertise. He's a great individual and therapist!

Larry is a terrific counselor. He makes me feel heard and understood. He also has equipped me with valuable tools that have helped me in starting to accept myself. These tools have also helped me to combat irrational thoughts and to be kinder to myself.
Before I was accustomed to counselors mostly listening to my problems and giving their insight. However, Larry goes a step above and shows me how I have the power to control and change certain things. It truly has been empowering.

I’m very glad that I have him as my counselor. I have never felt so confident in revealing my personal information with somebody before. I come from a different background but he has always been so supportive. I’m still having problems now but because of him I’ve been able to do a lot of things in my life that I never thought that I would do before.

Larry Payne is a caring and understanding counselor. He allows you to be where you are and he meets you there.... it is good to know there is someone who listens and guides you with wisdom and kindness. I would recommend him to anyone who wanted a great Christian Counselor.

I had been struggling to get started with counseling when I signed up for Faithful Counseling. I shared what my main concerns and reasons for wanting counseling were. Larry Payne responded promptly...and even though I ignored him (because I was anxious about starting), he persisted and let me know that he was praying for me and there if I needed to talk. I appreciated that. I have also appreciated his continued prompt responses.

Within the few short weeks I've spent with Larry, I am impressed that he can quickly pinpoint areas on which to work. Our contact is primarily once a day via email and we both have busy schedules, I'm sure. So he seems to have great time management skills and has been very responsive. I'm grateful for what I've received so far. Thank you Larry! Thank you Betterhelp !

Larry has been extraordinarily helpful with setting some goals for me and driving me forward to meet those goals. He provides insight and perspective that helps shift my focus from negative to positive thinking. Our interactions have been helpful every time and if he can't get back to me right away for any reason, he will send me a message to let me know when he intends to get back with me. Overall, this has been a great experience and I look forward to making progress as time goes on.
