Laura Savage, LCSW-R
About me
Hi there! My name is Laura Savage and I have had the pleasure of working as a Social Worker since 1997. I attended the University of Delaware and then went on to receive my Master's in Social Work from Florida International University. I have worked extensively with many diverse populations, including adults, children, and teenagers in a variety of settings. These have included an adolescent residential treatment facility, a hospital, and a non-profit center, supporting children impacted by cancer and their families. Currently, I am employed at a school district where I provide school-based counseling to middle and high school students. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to assist students in managing their various struggles with ADHD, Autism, and anxiety. In addition, I support students with their executive functioning skills and strategies they need to be successful.
As a clinician, providing an empathic and warm environment is critical to developing a healthy and collaborative working relationship. Together, we can work towards fostering positive change.
