About me

Are you looking to create a richer, more fulfilling life? I have the experience and skills to help you address the barriers that hinder you and cause additional suffering in your life. I will help you identify your strengths and build new skills and behaviors to enhance your well-being.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a psychotherapy privilege licensed in New York with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, among others.

I provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment to assist you in reaching your goals. I offer a creative and relational approach to therapy based on your needs.

Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with all of life’s various obstacles.

My therapeutic approach is the result of years of experience practicing and studying methods of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavior modification. I understand that choosing a therapist is a deeply personal process and it is essential that you feel a connection with the therapist you choose. My practice is an open, accepting and collaborative place for you to express yourself without fear of judgment. I provide an environment focused on compassion and support.

There is no therapeutic method that works for everyone. Therapy, in and of itself, is specific to the person, or persons involved. Drawing from traditional methods as well as new treatments supported by current research, I am able to cater to the individual needs of my clients.

I will help you learn to identify your emotions and understand behavioral patterns. Too often, life has a way of stripping us of the ability to feel what is happening around us. Instead, we just go though the motions, never stopping to think about how we truly feel. I am dedicated to helping you learn how to access those emotions in order to work through hardships and develop the skills necessary in order to achieve emotional recovery.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Life is not a series of crises to be endured, it is meant to be enjoyed. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Lauren listens to concerns and addresses them directly in a way that is helpful to overcoming the issues you want to work on. I look forward to our sessions because they have been helpful and what I need to feel confident about myself

Lauren was exactly what I was looking for in a therapist. Great listener but also directive and active. Therapists in the past sometimes just listened but didn't have much to add. With Lauren I feel like I get a key take away from every session.

Lauren is amazing! She’s very thoughtful, constructive, and asks a lot of good questions to help you see different perspectives. She’s responsive and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Lauren as a therapist!

Lauren is incredibly intelligent and insightful. She has a charismatic, quick-witted sense of humor that she skillfully employs to balance out some of the heavier sessions. She has made me feel safe (even in the very first session) to trust her fully with all of my most vulnerable sides. She listens with an unassuming, warmhearted and compassionate manner. She manages to expertly walk the line of being understanding and nurturing while also remaining honest and direct. I have had a few other therapists before and none have made me feel so seen and cared for. Her intentions for going into this work are so pure and it shows. She cares so much, she has an impressive wealth of knowledge and expertise that she delivers intuitively and humbly, and she creates a collaborative relationship of trust. She is truly the greatest, and I’m incredibly grateful to have her with me on my journey to better mental health.

Lauren and I have done one session. She was really understanding, very cool personality and relatable. I really appreciated her expertise on addiction. She is also an executive which I found really valuable as she was able to understand and coach on my professional challenges as well.
