About me

Hi there! I’m Lauren and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LFMT) in the state of Texas. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) , and my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University (Seattle, WA). My approach to therapy is a systemic and holistic one, informed by clinical education and training in Systems Therapy. I utilize a variety of theories in my work with clients, as effective therapeutic techniques depend on clients’ particular needs. I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT (trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Solution Focused Therapy and Systems Therapy techniques. I have extensive experience working with parents, children, adolescents, families, couples, and college-age individuals. My main goal as a therapist is to help empower YOU to be the best version of yourself that you can possibly be!
