I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a focus in Gender and Women's Studies along with intersectionality and creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people. As a Black Queer Woman, I feel it's important to meet people where they are based on identity as related to mental health needs. I have experience working with concerns such as depression, anxiety, life changes, and attachment issues. I also have experience with teens, adults, couples, and queer People of Color. Lawanda helped me get to the root of the issues I didn't know I had been battling since I was a small child so that I knew what to seek out from other sources. Since doing so with her advice and expertise I feel like I've unlocked the cheat code to life. I had been struggling so hard for so long that I didn't know any different. She helped me get to a place where I now feel like life is effortless. My financial situation unfortunately suddenly changed else I would continue counseling with her just because I enjoy her company. 10/10 would recommend this excellent example of a human being.
