My name is Lawrence, I really enjoy my career and I have made it my professional and personal goal to leave you feeling, thinking and/or performing better than you were when we first met. I have been working in the therapy world for over 25 years beginning the summer after I graduated from the University of Washington (U of W) with my B.A. in Juvenile Counseling. My first 10 years out of college began at a community mental health clinic as a youth and family counselor. I slowly but surely began gaining valuable experience working with youth and their families. Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of settings to include but not limit to juvenile offenders, domestic violence shelters, community center and youth group homes. After earning my Master of Social Work degree from the U of W, I went on to become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing and specializing in mental health therapy. Over the years I have provided mental health treatment and/or services to an array of individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities all ages of different ethnic, cultural and/or racial backgrounds.
Frist and foremost I believe safety is paramount and the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and a client is the key component to attaining positive treatment outcomes. I use a multitude of clinical and/or therapeutic approaches when providing treatment to include but not limited to foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST), using a combination of treatments strategies serve as realistic and usable approaches to better manage, resolve or solve, tolerate and/or think differently about real life challenges and/or problems.

Lawrence is absolutely phenomenal and I extend my highest recommendation for him as a therapist. He is personable, understanding, genuine, and absolutely willing to meet you where you are. Lawrence has helped me realize things that I didn't know about myself and solidified truth that has set aside my self doubt. This has been my best therapy experience. I'm grateful for the wisdom Lawrence has bestowed upon me.

He listened carefully to my goals. He gave me space to talk but also directed our talks so that it would be productive. I felt very safe talking about things that were difficult for me to say.

Lawerence was immediately relatable. He approached as an expert listener and made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. He heard my story first, then gave me situation specific tools and strategies to work with. I found comfort in knowing these were tools and strategies he had also practiced in his own life. My situational awareness has improved. I feel less angry and more thoughtful when working with my stressors. I am thankful for the time I spent in therapy and proud I made the invested into my own mental health.
