About me

Hi,
I am an individual, family and group therapist.
I started my career by graduating from Hudson Valley Community college with an Associates, Cazenovia for my Bachelors and University of Southern California with a Masters in Social work.
I have worked in a hospital for 30 years. Hospital life gives you a mix of experience that includes medical, hospice, (death, dying and bereavement), psychological, cultural and mental health.
I have worked in a nursing home for six years and that gave the experience of the aging process and end of the life/dying process.
I spent 11 years working with individuals who have the disease of addiction and all that comes with that lifestyle which includes and not limited to homelessness, legal issues, mental health disorders, trauma, gang affiliation, grief and loss, self esteem, cultural diversity, military and family problems.
Working on the betterhelp plateform for the four years has given the experience of cultural diversity, coaching, mental health, life developments and goals and crises which include personal and natural disasters.
The populations I serve are females, males, couples, veterans and the LGBTQ-A I + community.
I also believe in and work with the holistic approach as I am a Reiki Master and have experience with Reiki Sessions, crystals, and alternative healing.
As a therapist it is my mission to assist you in achieving your goals in a safe, trusting, nonjudgmental, and respectful manner.
I utilize a person centered concept, motivational interviewing, pros and cons therapy, mindfulness and narrative therapy so each individual can achieve their goals of a more satisfying life.
I look forwards to meeting with you!

I will not talk about religion (if your not religious)
I will not talk about politics!!

I have absolutely LOVED my sessions with Miss Peters so far. She not only has offered great insight and ways to think differently from my issues or just listens to what is necessary as well. She takes it all in and gives thoughtful and caring responses. I am looking forward to my growth with her!

Leeann makes me feel like I'm talking to someone who genuinely cares about how I'm doing. She listens at the right times and makes me really think about the why behind things. She very friendly, easy to talk to and very supportive in the learning process of myself. I've only had 2 sessions so far and already learned new things about myself that I hadn't been able to get insight to before.
