About me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed in Florida with 12 years of experience. I have worked with clients experiencing many different life issues that range from post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, depression, career workplace issues, grief and loss (death, friendship/relationship changes) and a myriad of other challenges that also include religious abuse (I work with a lot of religious/spiritual minority groups). I have also helped many people from marginalized communities who are experiencing discrimination and equity issues.

My counseling style is warm, optimistic, and with a sense of humor. I believe that our challenges in life don't have to define our present or future. I am a stickler for treating others with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. While my approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused counseling, the research demonstrates that the therapeutic alliance is key in client success. I will tailor the counseling experience to meet your unique, specific needs while also focusing keen attention on our alliance.
Lastly, I appreciate the courage that it took for you to seek counseling. I am here to work collaboratively and dynamically with you.

I look forward to meeting you!

Leslie is amazing. I’ve been seeing her for almost two years now and we’ve worked through things I’ve not been able to admit to myself. I’ve done therapy before, but not deep therapy. I wasn’t ready, I was afraid. But I’m working through it with her. The hardest part about doing the deep therapy is actually starting it. Once i talked about it with Leslie, we examined it. Talked about it some more. And now we talk about other stuff. She’s been wonderful and I highly recommend her.

Leslie is just what I needed in a therapist. She is kind and compassionate. Leslie also looks at the bigger picture recommending I seek a diagnosis for neurodivergence. I highly recommend her for counseling needs.
